Founded by Dianna and Dan Shannon on a shared love for the ocean and sustainable fishing, this local gem has grown from a quaint shop into a beloved community staple. When did you begin working at snug? I started working at Snug in June of 2023.
What is your favorite shift position or project to do at snug? My favorite shift position is cooking. I love making people happy with delicious, yummy food .
What is your favorite thing about working at snug? My favorite thing about working at snug is the staff! We are like family and we all look out for each other and have so much fun together! Love my snuggies!
How do you like to spend your free time? On my free time, I am with kids! Running around to Rugby, cheerleading, soccer, school events, etc… They keep me very busy but I love every second of it.
What is one of your biggest goals or dreams? One of my dreams/goals is somewhat of a secret. But includes oysters and mermaids.

When did you begin working at snug? I started working at snug in 2022.
What is your favorite shift position or project to do at snug? My favorite position is cooking and I love unloading the fish from the pier and lobsters.
What is your favorite thing about working at snug? My favorite thing about Snug is I work with all my friends and it’s like a little family.
How do you like to spend your free time? I love to fish and paint and go to the beach.
What is one of your biggest goals or dreams? I want to own my own charter!!
Rachel Gellman
When did you begin working at snug? Junior year of high school (August 2023 I think…?).
What is your favorite shift position or project to do at snug? Working the front or expo!.
What is your favorite thing about working at snug? My snuggies of course!!!
How do you like to spend your free time? I love yoga and spending time outside, mostly at the beach.
What is one of your biggest goals or dreams? I really really want to swim with whale sharks.
Danny Shannon
When did you begin working at snug? Well, I’ve been a fixture since I was born. To be honest, my mom used to hand me to customers while she cut their fish! But, for legal reasons, I started working when I was 14.
What is your favorite shift position or project to do at snug? I like expediting; you end up getting into the flow of it, and if it’s busy, forming a real trauma bond with the cook. I also love making salmon burgers.
What is your favorite thing about working at snug? It has to be the way that we feel like a real family; some of my best friendships in the world have been formed here.
How do you like to spend your free time? I love to spend time with my friends, traveling and finding the best dive bars. I also like to read good books and be outside.
What is one of your biggest goals or dreams? I would like to be a good friend, live a full life, and experience as much as possible. I think these are all connected.

When did you begin working at snug? I started working at snug at the end of August 2025.
What is your favorite shift position or project to do at snug? I do mostly day shifts (because I work while my daughters in school) so Ive only done a few night shifts. but I enjoyed them both.
What is your favorite thing about working at snug? My favorite thing about working at snug is the atmosphere! Everyone is so nice and helpful. so when you first start, you don’t feel weird asking questions or not knowing how to do something. Everyone works together to make sure that everything gets done.
How do you like to spend your free time? Most of my free time is spent driving my daughter to soccer practice, soccer games or driving her and her friends somewhere.
What is one of your biggest goals or dreams? One of my biggest dreams or goals is really just to watch my daughter live her best life and to just know that I raised her to be well-rounded compassionate and to know that she can do anything she puts her mind to.

When did you begin working at snug? I started working at Snug in the summer of 2025.
What is your favorite shift position or project to do at snug? My favorite position at Snug is being in the front, talking to all the wonderful customers. I also love being in the kitchen cooking.
What is your favorite thing about working at snug? My favorite thing about working at Snug is how it feels like we’re all one big happy family.
How do you like to spend your free time? I love playing golf and also being out on the water fishing.
What is one of your biggest goals or dreams? The biggest goal in my life is to be successful enough to afford a 32-foot Regulator to be at the end of my dock in.

When did you begin working at snug? 2018. I was in 8th grade. I’m now 22 and graduated college.
What is your favorite shift position or project to do at snug? It depends on the day but I really enjoy cooking or working up front and interacting with customers.
What is your favorite thing about working at snug? I love the culture and the people. It is a family business that makes everyone feel like they’re a part of the family.
How do you like to spend your free time? I love to run, go to the beach, read, spend time with my friends, or travel.
What is one of your biggest goals or dreams? Traveling the world.
Heather Cully
When did you begin working at snug? I started at Snug May 2026.
What is your favorite shift position or project to do at snug? My favorite projects at Snug are making homemade soups and creating featured dishes!
What is your favorite thing about working at snug? I love the Snug work culture! The people are wonderful! It’s a family in this kitchen!
How do you like to spend your free time? Free time I take care of my family, oil paint, garden, cook, and do design projects for my husband’s company.
What is one of your biggest goals or dreams? My biggest dream is to have a farm and grow tons of vegetables, have chickens, and horses. But things change as we age and the kids grow up! Maybe one of my girls will have the horses!
I’m also starting to travel to Europe with my art group which is an absolute dream. I’m very thankful.

What is your favorite shift position or project to do at snug? My favorite position at Snug is greeting our customers at the front. Whether it’s a familiar face or a new customer, I love welcoming them with a warm smile and a friendly chat. I also enjoy answering any questions they may have about our high-quality products. It makes my day brighter, and hopefully, theirs too.
What is your favorite thing about working at snug? My favorite aspect of working at Snug is undoubtedly the people. While we diligently work hard before, during, and after business hours to bring in fresh, high-quality products, prepare and maintain Snug’s space to the highest standards, and meticulously prepare delicious food for our customers, we also share more laughs and genuine, heartfelt appreciation for each other—customers and staff alike. A lot of love and care goes into every aspect of Snug.
How do you like to spend your free time? When I’m not working at Snug, I enjoy spending my free time with my two sons, Golden Retriever, family, and friends. I also love spending time outdoors, particularly by the sea.
What is one of your biggest goals or dreams? My biggest dreams in life dance around the balance of living well, sharing good company and good food, and being a solid role model for my children—positively impacting others and living without regret.
